Making vases is challenging because I want the vessel to be interesting on it's own, but also full of potential to become an artistic collaboration with the flower arranger. I am inspired by historical tulipieres with their single spouts for each bloom, and flower bricks which traditionally had a grid or pattern of holes to hold flowers in an arrangement.
